The Metrology Laboratory was established at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant in the early 1940's to support the United States Army mission in manufacturing armaments and munitions. The laboratory is a Government-Owned, Contractor-Operated facility. Traceability is maintained through an unbroken chain to Army Secondary and Primary Laboratories directly to NIST. The laboratory has continued to meet the needs of the customer by providing calibrated monitoring and measuring devices in an ever changing quality environment.

Our Technicians perform nearly 10,000 calibrations per year in a 9,000 square foot state of the art environmentally controlled facility. Automated calibration software has made the process of performing calibrations more efficient and acts as a powerful tool in reducing labor cost and errors. Recall notices, computer-generated certificates of calibration and secure storage of calibration data are provided as services to our customers at no additional cost.
